They are under the hen, removed the eggs, put them under her just at dark. I am expecting they will be her chicks in the morning. Will report in then.

All is well. The hen (Leopard is his time) is all fluffed up over them quirring and talking. I reached under and got pecked. All peeping. All is well.

She is setting on them, not letting them move around much. The chicks are fine, but Leopard has not yet realized they are a couple days old and the yolk is gone and she should be foraging with them. Tomorrow I am guessing they will be hungry enough that she won't be able to keep them under her. And her clock will be going, knowing they need to scratch and do chicken stuff, not just loaf around the basement. Shall report some time tomorrow.
