Farrier, hows the chicks doing? hey guess what... they are leghorns of some sort, maybe brown instead of lightbrown. I just hatched a bunch more and I know these are pure so yours are too.

I have heard of people getting bunch of mutts by accident, doesn't happen the other way very often! ;)

no doubt eh OC! :rofl: these hens will produce the most perfect white eggs! But man am I ever curious what this batch looks like now, the ones I just hatched are feathering in brown and very similar to the "light browns," maybe a bit darker. I guess I should go read that genetics paper Robbie postes on another thread. roflmbo

Leghorns are just fine with me. Need a few more white eggs in my basket anyway. They are sort of a dark brown. Doing fine. Thanks again.
