Oh and if they go by the same rules as my banties (chipmunk pattern) then they are both girls cause they have eye liner. But don't quote me on that!

Yep, these are Welsummers, and although in some lines gender can't be determined by colouring as day-olds, if they can, dark well-defined chipmunk colouring and eyeliner are a pretty good indicator.

Hey, thanks, everyone! Great name ideas too!
Number two just hatched about 45 minutes ago. This one has barely stopped cheeping. She hatched with what looked like a bit of yolk and albumen came out with her, and there's a bit of bleeding from the navel area. Not sure what to do about that. Can anyone suggest something?
The egg that I thought was questionable when I did the water candling looks like it may have pipped at the wrong end. I only noticed this recently, so is there anything I can/should do with it?
The last unhatched egg doesn't look like it's pipped yet, but it was a promising one when I water candled them, so not sure how much longer I should give them both. Our kitchen is a sauna. lol
I have stuck one of those hand warmers underneath the towel that the new arrival is laying on, in case the reason she's cheeping is because she is cold.

I agree with the iodine on the bellybutton, it's about all you can do. Polysporin is ok too...it won't facilitate drying if she's still got yolk out, but it won't poison her if it gets drawn in, either.
The one pipped at the wrong end; if you can see the beak and it's moving, leave it. Sometimes they don't have enough room to turn and unzip, and sometimes they do. If there's no hatching progress in 24 hours, he's stuck and you'll have to peel him out.

Iodine has been applied. I didn't want to press too hard because let's face it, I don't know what I'm doing, so I just dabbed with a cotton pad soaked in warm water, then applied iodine. She was cheeping pretty loudly when I was trying to clean the inflamed area, so I felt like I was hurting her. I opted to let the iodine do its thing, and try again in the morning.
The brooder is just about ready. It just needs a welded wire cover, just in case Aiden thinks it's a doggie buffet. I'll transfer them after supper. I made a wool hen, but also have a heating pad at the ready, in case wooly mama isn't warm enough tonight.

I think you should name it "Cookie", something cooked in an oven and as in "one tough cookie"!

Brebis, the first born is called Cookie - in Dutch - "koekje" - thank you so much for giving a name to her! It's perfect!
The second chick is as yet unnamed ... narrowing down a couple of possibilities, waiting for her character to emerge.
