Oh just saw this , poor Gracie, unfortunatly I think when she was attacked it scared the heck out of her and her broodiness as well. Hopefully the eggs hatch in the oven, she may still look after them for you if they hatch. Silkies will often look after babies even when not broodie.

OMG, I think we have a pip in one of the eggs in the oven! I don't dare to hope, but ...
Should I be misting the oven walls? I have a tray of water in the bottom of the oven. Is that enough?

Whoo hoo! No water unless it's a convection oven with a fan running

WWW, no convection running, just leaving the oven lights on and the door slightly ajar. Using a wooden spoon wedged in the side of the door to regulate how much ajar, based on temperature readings. Hubby has this laser temperature reading thingie that we are pointing at the eggs from side opening on a regular basis, just to make sure the temp doesn't go too low or too high.
We've been aiming for 37.1C or thereabouts.

Said welcome to the world to the first oven chick when i went down to check at about 2:30. I heard it cheeping when I came into the kitchen. Still nothing happening with any of the other three eggs.I really hope that at least one more hatches.

"Frigidaire" doesn't really roll off the tongue, does it? After all those eggs (and Gracie, and you) have been through, you're going to need special names. You might possibly have the boards only 1500 watt chick, and DEFINITELY the only one incubated by Frigidaire
