Hatch a Batch App

Post by thegawd » Sat Mar 19, 2016 11:39 am

I use this app on my phone along with a spreadsheet on my computer, paper, and in my threads. but this app is awesome and once you input the details of your hatch it automatically adds the events into your devices calender and provides the alerts when you need them.

the only problem I have found is it counts the first day as day one when in fact it is only day one if you set before noon. I always set at night usually after 9pm, so to off set this problem you can manually enter the start date for the next day.

Happy Hatching!

Oh its so handy eh! Iv went back to last years hatches and figured out how old the birds are now without having to open up the book to check the records while in the coop. perfect. But I do keep other records though for the just in case. My phone is 4 years old now... but ya never know! knock on wood!

Wernt we bugging Martin to make a better one to track everything else... wink wink nudge nudge.... HAHA!

Yep eventually everything gets into my book but its awesome when i have split hatches where some eggs are a week ahead or whatever....and i am constantly loosing the sticky note on the incubator with set dates because my one cat knocks them off. Lol she doesnt steal my phone...yet

Just remember to make a copy of your info and notes like Al. I upgraded my phone and lost all my hatch info from last year. :( It's a great app though.

Same Andy. Nothing beats a $1 notebook. Or I write with a sharpie on all pens and setting dates for Broodies.
Plus mark all eggs with mating and date for records.
