Sounds like the hydro outage just delayed the hatch, great stuff ! :)

Well looks like the totally number is about 59 :running-chicken:

Considering I had written the whole batch off due to power outage I am pleased.

on the ones that hatched.!!!!

I have delayed my lock down day until today due to the power outage. Should have been yesterday, now instead of hatch day being Friday evening I am giving them until Sat. evening to start. I candled at day 10 and took out the duds and quitter, I hope candling them today they look good

Good luck Flat rock farm! Fairsing those are some cute chicks, especially the showgirls. It's too bad more didn't hatch but 59 is amazing! 20 chicks for me at a time is even too many for me to handle. Congratulations!!! Hope there is a couple little ones for me.

I've had them hatch out 4 days later after a hydro outage so I'd wait a bit if I was you.

True kenya about the delayed hatch with power outages. I could even see a difference in some of the eggs I candled today as I was locking them down, some looked like there was more space in them than others, but they were moving around???
