really dirty egg

I found a really dirty turkey egg that I want to put in my bator (covered in poo). Should I wash it or just forget about it?

definitely wash it....don't want all that bacteria going crazy in the incubator in a nice warm humid environment for 21 days....it's tough to clean that stuff after and could contaminate all the chicks and the other eggs.

To be honest I would toss it rather than chance my other eggs unless it's from a special bird. Definitely wash it if you go ahead though.

Turkey embryos are picky about poop and dirt. If you HAVE to incubate it, wash it and either give it a Tylan dip or peroxide/water dip. Try to make sure it doesn't touch other eggs in the incubator, because if cooties start growing in the egg, that egg will share them with the others lol
