Incubating 2021

Well folks, time will tell with how well the hatch will go this year.
I had the humidity a bit high for the first 1 1/2 - 2 weeks - 55 - 58%. Don't ask me why I thought it should have been that. I do have notes. I noticed at the second candling that the air sacs were only slightly larger. (I've just been too distracted with other things lately.) Obviously this has not been burned
into my memory banks yet.
So, I reduced the humidity slowly to about 48% or so.
I will be candling them tonight again, and taking out the turner, as it is Day 16, going on to 17. Fingers crossed.

Remember, lockdown isn't until day 18. You still need to turn those eggs until day 18. Good luck!

You mean keep the eggs on the turner until then?

Update:
On my calendar, it is technically still Day 20. I hear cheeping and there are 3 pips. Whew! We're doin' OK!
I'm thinking that because the eggs went from laying box, straight into incubator, there was no almost no time in stasis. So they are "early" according to my calendar, but not for them.

They should all be pipping today. They will hatch into tomorrow. Remember, often it's 24 hours between pip to unzipping, to hatch. Make sure that humidity stays 63-65%. If you need to add water tonight do without opening the incubator. Good luck.

@KimChick What day are you on? You say Day 20 but did you start at Day 0 or Day 1? There is a warm up time for eggs.

Killerbunny - I count a Day as a full 24 hr span. So, I guess you could say that I started at 0, and the end of Day 1 would be the end of the first 24 hr period.
Kbr42 - I have kept the humidity as you say and have not opened the lid. I have learned my lesson in that respect!
So far, 10 of 16 have hatched. Day 21 began at 4pm yesterday and ended at 4pm today.

Not bad then with the challenges.
