Good morning
So my final hatch of chicks for this year was 77% success!!
Woohoo
Thanks everyone for your guidance about humidity
Kept between 50-55% throughout lockdown
26 eggs 20 hatched
Last 2 shrunk wrapped and I peeled them out
They are still in incubator
6 appear to have drowned so I’m assuming when others were all hatching humidity was too high for those 6???

That's exciting! My fingers are crossed for you. It's not called doing it wrong, it's getting an education. Setting up chicks and having them hatch has been the highlight of spring 2020.

quick update :) 10 of the 13 that went into lockdown hatched (I knew 2 of the 3 were questionable to even try as they had been dented and waxed, one I heard chirping but :( ) 5 of each. Next time will only put in 10 eggs :D (one of the girls not in the photo)

Well, that is the very best outcome, in spite of all that transpired before this ! Congrats!

Thank you! Yes for sure it has been. My other Bielefelders are just over a month older and moved them out to pen in the coop (from my whelping pen in the bathroom as that will be needed in 2.5 weeks for its main purpose puppies)

BTW - along with the rule of posting cute chick photos @captivakennels that rule goes for puppies too and setters are especially cute!
