I have 24 Serama eggs that have made it to lockdown, and now I am worried I will screw things up somehow. They are on day 19. 2 have wiggled.

Day 20 there are 4 pips.

They are hard to hatch! You are doing great!

I have 8 new chicks that hatched yesterday. 2 others pipped and made a hole, but died without hatching. The rest of the eggs are still in the incubator, but I suspect there will be no more chicks.

Congratulations on the fuzzybutts and welcome to the roller coaster that is incubating and hatching Don't give up on the remaining eggs just yet: sometimes some will hatch a day or two late and still be healthy, though if some pipped and died then the chances for the rest are lower. A good candling flashlight is your best friend. Or your worst enemy depending on how you look at it

BTW do you have to grind the starter much smaller for Seramas???
