Seramas

Post by Shnookie » Mon Jun 17, 2019 10:45 am

I have 24 Serama eggs that have made it to lockdown, and now I am worried I will screw things up somehow. They are on day 19. 2 have wiggled.

I have 8 new chicks that hatched yesterday. 2 others pipped and made a hole, but died without hatching. The rest of the eggs are still in the incubator, but I suspect there will be no more chicks.

Seramas, how exciting! Congratulations on the fuzzybutts :stars: and welcome to the roller coaster that is incubating and hatching  Don't give up on the remaining eggs just yet: sometimes some will hatch a day or two late and still be healthy, though if some pipped and died then the chances for the rest are lower. A good candling flashlight is your best friend. Or your worst enemy depending on how you look at it :-?
