Hi All,

Just curious if anyone has used a drying incubator during your hatches. If so, when do you move the wet chicks to the during incubator, if you aren't suppose to open the hatching incubator

It's a second incubator running at the same time as your hatching incubator only there is no humidity and is used to dry off the chicks as they hatch.

When all of the chicks that are likely to hatch have hatched, and about half of them have dried off, they are removed to the brooder, no need for another incubator.
Opening the incubator during hatch as you know isn't a good idea.

Well, I don't add water to my hatcher, does that count? But no, I see no reason to add one more machine to clean. Babies throw a lot of fuzz all over the place while they're drying.
