My best guess is somewhere close to 400 chicks hatched this year,

What are their names?

Re: Hi, my name is Jan...
@Farrier1987 , I don't name them anymore unless they came from someone else already named, or unless something stands out about one and a name jumps out at me, or unless they're my favourites in permanent breeding groups. I ran out of names about 1000 chickens ago . Mostly now, I just call the girls "Mum" or Mama, and the boys "Buddy" or "Dad". I also have 4 chickens called "Blue", two called "One Eye", 5 hens called "Red", including "Mama Red" who isn't red at all (but her leg band is), half a dozen called "Your Highness", a few called " ", and about 50 called "Beach Ball" or "Tub of Lard", interchangeably. Those last ones are the broilers.
