1st hatch of the year on Saturday May 12th - 21 out of 36 eggs. Partridge Chanteclers and Marans X. Most of the eggs that didn't hatch were the Marans X, as they are difficult to candle due to the dark egg shell. Babies are so cute! The grandkids love them.

I am soooo close to giving up on the broody hen idea, buying a heat lamp, and getting some days olds.

They are so cute!! Congrats!
