Banty egg pipped wrong end 3 days early!

This has felt like my most consistent incubation (mostly because I've been able to keep humidity very stable) and tonight I popped the lid off to add some water and begin to up humidity and whoops there's an external pip on one of the OEGB eggs...on the wrong end. Wednesday is day 21 so I hadn't even thought to check for pips before I whipped the lid off tonight. I hadn't used the turner this time around so eggs were already laying down. What are this little ones chances?

It depends on how far it was pipped , was the egg cracked but not open that you could see inside. If so it will be fine as opening the incubator when an egg is pipped you have to worry that the chick will get stuck and be unable to move therefore it can't get itself zipped to get out. But if the egg was just cracked its unlikely air will get in to dry the fluids right at that spot thus sticking the chick, so it should be fine. Often some chicks pip a day or even 2 days before they actually make the final effort to get out. So just keep an eye on it, you may in the end have to help it out if its stuck.

It isn't just a crack :( it's a hole. It's in a really bad spot for me to try to see any movement or progress.
I know it can take a while. Will see what the morning brings I guess. I feel especially bad because now it's got 2 strikes against it. Upside down and possibly stuck. Ugggggh. Thank Kenya

If its a hole it will probably be stuck now, but leave it alone for now, because it was so early its probably no where near to coming out. I would wait till the other chicks are hatching. If at some point none are pipped you could try helping it out very carefully if it starts to bleed stop immediately, its not ready to hatch. So break the shell back very carefully tiny bits at a time its the membrane itself you have to watch for. If any bleeding stop and put the egg back in it isn't ready, but right now just leave it alone.

The chick managed to enlarge the hole a bit this morning and I can hear it chirping but I think the membrane is looking yellowy/brown and dry. No activity on the other eggs yet. I have had to assist before (my very first hatch I had to help Little's sister "Sticky" out). Hate hate hate doing it but will if I need to. Not the chicks fault I opened the incubator :(
