Good to hear about the hatches. I am definitely in for next year. I dropped off 80 eggs for hatching, including 8 ayam cemani eggs which I have only been getting about 50% hatch rates, with some birds hatching a day or more late and a bit week. From Millpond I got 7 out of 8 cemani and they were my strongest batch for sure.

I am thinking of taking eggs to Millpond a couple different times next year, 100 plus each time hopefully. Plus their White Rock meat chicks I got have been very healthy so far at 4 weeks old.

How do custom hatchers make sure you get the right chicks? I assume they are using a large incubator so there could be eggs from several customers in it.
Somewhere online I saw some little boxes made of hardware cloth so separate eggs in a bator.
Or was it in the book I just bought?

I've seen them in books. I made one to use in my Hovabator. I wonder if they use the same idea in a large incubator. Maybe they have some kind of divider or box that is made for the incubator.
