Thick egg shells

My previous candling experience is limited to white OEGB eggs and you can pretty much see everything that's going on with those. These brown eggs (especially my Cochins) have proven to be a lot more difficult. Eggs are on day 9. Im not removing anything unless it stinks or has an obvious red ring (took one of those out last night) I definitely have some barred rocks developing and saw them twirling around but the best I'm seeing in the Cochins is a shadowy blob and air sac in most of them. Decided this morning to compare to a freshly laid one. Thoughts?

I would put the incy one back, I think there mat=y be growth. I always err on caution.

For what it's worth, it looks infertile to me, after 9 days you should see some veins developing already.

I would think infertile except that's what at least 1/2 of those Cochin eggs look like. The other half are even clearer. When I checked fertility before (and again just yesterday) it was about 60%. So I'm having a hard time believing no Cochin eggs are developing. I'm leaving everything in and I guess just cross my fingers.

Well I candled these again and there wasnt one Cochin egg developing. I just cracked them all this morning and nothing. So back to the drawing board.
Now I'm wondering if all of these barred rock eggs that are developing are from my OEGB rooster and Harley is shooting blanks!
I'm collecting again.

Still a little early for some of the roosters, they pretend to be doing it but their not. I have one silkie that still doesn't know which end is which, stupid bird, course I really want chicks from him as hes a lovely paint silkie better than his dad.

I know some of the Cochin eggs were fertilized before I collected the ones I threw in the Bator. Fertility was low but not zero! So idk. I just spent some time out there watching my little roo chase Harley around. So they've been separated again.

I just finished incubating. Started out with 60 eggs. Only eight ended up being fertile. So far only 3 lively chicks and one not so much. One died 3 eggs ill leave in incubator until sunday
