Yes they "turn" by rolling the eggs. They can accommodate most size eggs including Emu but if it works well I will move the Emu eggs I am hand turning into this unit. It has automatic humidity control and exchanges the air every 2 hours but I believe you can change that. Comes with hatching trays also. If it does all it is supposed to then we should experience better hatches. If all goes well maybe we all can squeeze out a discount on behalf of PTO members. Freight is expensive as they are located in Alberta. You can actually buy the roller turners on one of the Chinese seller sights. One last thing, it has a 12v backup so you just need access to a 12v battery in case of power outage. I went to great lengths with Lesley the owner before buying this unit so he had better be true to his word:)

I am in touch with Lesley too. When I see the work he was involved in with the Trumpeter Swan program as well as Ring Neck Pheasants I'm sure he is well aware of what works and what doesn't.
I'm 90% there. Expect to order by mid-week. Still unsure of which model but most likely 300 egg one.

I ordered the 180, the exterior dimensions are the same as the 240 but it has 4 turners closer together plus uses a slightly larger heater. For my Emu eggs, which is seasonal, I needed the height between turners which the 240 wouldn't allow without taking 2 turners out. Plus I don't hatch very many chicken eggs. The 180 will do just right for me but you never know. I would check with Leslie as I don't think he has too many left.
If you are unsure which one to order, figure out your needs over the next few years plus email Leslie outlining what your needs are and I am sure he will advise you the one best for you.

It arrived before 9.00 this morning. Already up and running with my Emu eggs inside. Temp of 35.7 is maintained, Humidity of 35% is as I set and the turner is rolling those eggs. When I open the door I of course lose heat and humidity, it brings them both back to where they should be really fast. It has 2 fans to circulate air inside plus a fan to replace the air. So that is the latest update.

I think we really need some pictures, I don't know how many people have seen an emu hatching, but I am adding that to my bucket list

Yes "Ontario Chick" as this is my first time I would also like pictures of them hatching. This is day 35 so 3 more weeks to go.

Wow I didn't realize it took so long to hatch.

8 more days until lockdown, the eggs are moving on their own so some have live chicks inside.
I have ordered a second incubator so will have 2 Little Giant digital with fan and 2 48 egg units with the 4 round windows on top. All 4 just a few months old and are being replaced by the new unit so won't be available until the new unit arrives. I have 2 15 egg turners that I will throw in with the 2 Little Giant units.
