HELP!! I don't think these are fertilzed
Put it back in the shell or you'll have a helluva time incubating it.

If I'm honest, I don't see much diff between your infertile one and my apparent fertile one.WLLady wrote:QR_BBPOST so this one is an example of infertile..... tiny compact bright white spot with no ring....and no clear spot in the middle of the white spot.

Look harder ;-P yours has a little dark spot in the middle of the white disk. mine doesn't.
the little darker area is the actual embryo starting to develop. my picture sucks anyways....it's a bit far away. trust me, yours is fertilized....apparently if you put it in a glass it will turn into a chicken ;-P

yeah well, glass (or more accurately, el cheapo plastic wine glass) incubating doesn't work....so...i'm going to try getting "sofe-is-ti-cated" and try plastic wrap or something next time (it's that other thread in incubating). problem is the surface is drying out. precisely what the egg shell is needed to stop.

I just went and read that thread. I haven't been on it since page 2. Very interesting. Looking forward to seeing how it develops over time.WLLady wrote:QR_BBPOST yeah well, glass (or more accurately, el cheapo plastic wine glass) incubating doesn't work....so...i'm going to try getting "sofe-is-ti-cated" and try plastic wrap or something next time (it's that other thread in incubating). problem is the surface is drying out. precisely what the egg shell is needed to stop.

Those are great pictures Colleen. Can I use them for some material I am putting together for some young chicken enthusiasts?
