Sorry, but I think this is a hoax. To me that egg looked infertile anyway. I don't believe you could keep them free of bacterial contamination- i didn't see any evidence of sterile technique. Crack and egg into a glass , cover it with plastic wrap and have it develop into a chick? pppffftt. Nah.

Ha ha ha ha
Well I will agree to DISAGREE with ya Robbie - LOL
They had a big incubator Full of yolks in this new plastic they developed.
"to me" the egg developement looked too real to be a hoax.
BUT it's good either way - some will dream about what might "one day" be the norm(*o*)
ps - not sure it is a given that only a Sterile egg will result in an chick?

Too bad if it is a hoax. looked like fun. But also very inefficient. They had 11 in glass and 4 in shell. Only one chick running around afterwards...

Standard hollywood trick- photo of egg in glass, then closeup of developing egg (from elsewhere), audience puts 2 and 2 together in their minds that the developing chick was actually in the glass.

Eggs are perfect media for reproducing bacteria. It takes some bacteria 20 minutes to double, a chick takes 21 days to grow....... nah........ sorry....
