Different looking chick

Post by Colleen Kinzie » Tue May 17, 2016 6:03 pm

This is a chick from my new batch out of incubator
The only black hens I have are barred rock
So I'm thinking it is from one of them crossed with my rooster
Even its feet are different. Legs are black. Toes are orange

I had barred rock hens and Americauna roo, all the chicks turned out straight black. Laid the bluest eggs I have ever had. Anything else I have ever bred brown egger to blue egger have laid mossy olive.

Thanks
Yes I think it's pretty neat
His dad is all pecked to poop right now from the laying hens. They have every single feather on him broken off in half!!!!
