No I still see #1 as a girl, head poof in a male usually goes backward with some streamers that one goes more forward.

HOLY TESTOSTERONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was SO excited to hatch 3 white showgirls & 2 dark Showgirls ~ until today.
EVERY FREAKIN' Showgirl is a cockerel!!!!!!!!
( Can you say BUMMER??? )

I will end up with a few Silkie pullets ( which I didn't really need )
Guess I do Not need to buy any lottery tickets ~ cause I won't win - LOL
Now must sell the cockerels or learn to luv Black Chicken soup ............NOT!!!!

Still don't know about the bird with the gold lacing around the neck - but I do have a nice looking dark Pullet.

YES they are all crowing...the smallest cockerel is getting picked on.
I've spent the last 2 days building new pens.
I will move the males into the larger pen once it's finished.
At least the females will be away from all the drama.

I have 4 white Frizzles....TWO of them are males!!!!

Did you get ANY female Showgirls?
What colors do you have kenya?
How long have you had the addiction?

Only one showgirl hatched in the last batch.
The other 4 are silkies.
I got "Lucky" & found someone with Cream Legbar chicks.
Hers hatched the same day as my chicks....so I have 10 chicks in the brooder.
At least I know only ONE Legbar is male.
I don't want to guess how many from my hatch are males!!!

Oh BTW kenya, I bought 2 STRIPPERS.
"of course" one is a cockerel.
The pullet just grew a bowtie - ackkkkk
Hoping when next spring comes, that 1/2 the hatch will be strippers.

My white stripper Deva is a pullet, my black showgirl is a pullet, my 2 white showgirls are cockerals, my cuckoo showgirl is a pullet and I think my buff showgirl is a pullet. I got them all from Fairsing farm in mount forest. That's when my addiction began, I blame Francis.
It's funny really I only wanted the white showgirls but then when I saw the other colours I thought the different colours would look nice together, and they do!

Oh yeah I do have a cuckoo showgirl rooster I got last year but he hasn't produced anything yet, he's too busy singing his praises to the world than breeding the black Silkie hen in with him, so my white Silkie roo breeds her.so the babies are all black silkies, no showgirls but super nice babies. Maybe I'll have to try A. I.

Toooo funny how different our tastes are. I have had White silkies off & on for the last 15 years.
About 5 yrs ago I crossed them with a frizzle but didn't have much luck.
I had much better luck crossing my turken to a frizzle....then crossing that with a Blue Andullusian
~ had a few Good looking birds but wasn't consistent so I dropped it.

OMG then I saw Kathy's "Partridge Silkies" (Micah & Kiah)
Grabbed a trio & just Luved the Non-white silkie color.
I also have her Blue silkies.

about 3 yrs ago I could only get 1 blue showgirl & 2 white showgirls from Frances.
Weasel got the whites & I figured I was done with them.

Now I have the Blue Showgirl pair, the White showgirls & the pair of Strippers.
My "wish list" is the buffs, & the cuckoos....& I agree with you
I BLAME FRANCES allllllll the way!

WLLady - how old are they now? Mine were hatched April 24.
I keep increasing their pen space but I'm running out of room - LOL
