Day 21 & still waiting for a pip

Post by Poultryprincess » Mon Apr 18, 2016 8:29 pm

I think perhaps the temp crash in the first week has delayed my hatch.
My 30 eggs have been in Lockdown for 3 days & NOTHING!!!!
I candled a day before Lock down, so I know the eggs "were" viable.

Going to be Patient ~ OMMMMMMMM :smiley-char026:

Yes be patient. I'm a great one to tell you that. Lol
Mine hatched from day 22 until day 24!!!!
I was told for next hatch to up temperature by 1/2 to 1 degree
It certainly is a learning curve
"Be patient" is easier said than done

are you sure today is day 21? if you set before noon you can count the first day as day 1. if after noon dont count it as day 1, i always set after 9pm. that way when i wake up on day 21 I have a hatcher full of fuzzies.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Loaded bator on morning March 31
But a week later the Top Hatch temp dropped & wouldn't go back up.
That's when I bought the new Hovabator.
Will keep eggs in Hova until eggs hatch.

( I installed New electric panel in Top hatch. It's maintained temp for a week now.
Will try it another time for a hatch )

OMGAWD ....I am "SICK" with worry!!!
I checked my past posts....I actually loaded the bator March 31 EVENING

There has been alot of Drama at home & I totally screwed up my "Lockdown" day!
I read about Bantam early hatch & did every thing too early - CRAP!

Should I leave the eggs alone & Hope for the best?
( I removed the turner & upped the humidity )
Or maybe just gently roll the eggs?

THIS SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do believe they can stop turning after day 14? but iv never done it. so stoping them 2 days early wont hurt them at all. just leave the humidity the way it is now. im sure they will be fine.

Fingers Crossed!

So I should NOT roll them a bit?
Thought since it was March 31 EVENING when loaded bator, that mean "Thursday" should be hatch day.
So actually LOCKDOWN should start TOMORROW??? RIGHT???

Such a stupid, poopie situation poop
