What type of Thermometer or Hygrometer do you use in your incubator ?
I seem to remember people having 2 or 3 different types.
Also, do you keep an eye on room temperature & humidity in the space your incubator is located?
I use Brinsee Spotcheck with probe to compare with the electronic readout, but the only one I truly trust is the metal one that fits in the red plug opening.
The only drawback is that it functions as a red plug and raises humidity when I drop it in, so considering drilling a hole somewhere and leaving it in. I know tiny bit obsessive, but I find it's the fine tweaking that makes for a good hatch. :)

the only thermometer I truly trust is one I bought 15 years ago or so for fish/reptiles. its a hagen product. its an in / out except the in is inside the tank, so wherever the probe is. it uses a AAA batter instead of those pill type batteries that dont last long. im not even sure they make them anymore. i used to have a lot of them but have sold most throughout the years while getting rid of my reptile stuff.

I use the incutherm one with a probe that hangs down. Previously I was using 2 on top of the eggs a couple that I didn't like (Honeywell) plus hubbys Bluepoint thermocouples. Surprised there was any room for eggs. Amazingly the plastic ones that came with the incy were accurate!
