Mill pond hatchery
Mill pond hatchery
Seeing as I am only 45 minutes away from Millpond and I plan on only doing 2 breeding pens I am wondering if I would be better off having them hatch my eggs this year? I could get just as early if not earlier of a start with less fuss and I wouldnt have to purchase an incubator or rely on a broody. Thoughts? Opinions? Has anyone used their hatching services?

Yes, very happy with the results, wish I knew about them earlier and saved myself the expense of incubator and the trauma of trying to fiddle with temperature and humidity and the clean up after.
"instant chicks" for me from now on! :)

The chicks are great! No long hatches/sleeping on the couch by the hatcher/bumping off later weak chicks. Loved it! Look for me at Odessa.

Another question, I have only bantams, do you think they will do bantam eggs? It says chicken eggs 30cents each on the website so I'm assuming that is bantams or largefowl

I used Millpond to hatch a batch for me this year as well and will be taking several batches to them next year. If they were only 45 minutes away (instead of 2.5 hours) I would take all my eggs to them.
Their meat chicks are very hardy and good quality too.
