When you can hear a chick peeping inside egg, does that mean it has made its internal pip?

Yes, it's internally pipped and will probably externally pip very soon....it's also a good sign of a nice strong vigorous chick.

I never knew they peeped in the shell until the first time I hatched some eggs. It's exciting to hear.
