Question Chances of blue egg gene

Father - Frank 1/2 brahma, 1/2 ameraucana hatched from green egg
Mum - Grey girl hatched from green egg lays olive

I have 2 pretty cockerels age 18 weeks. Want to know the chances of them carrying blue egg laying gene.
Please show your working LOL!

I didn't realise this pair had it in them at 5 years old and hatch rate was low. Only these 2 from 6 eggs.

mom definitely carries blue gene to lay olive so they got 50% chance of getting from mom. grandma was Bb to lay green. Since mom lays olive she must still have the blue gene, so is Bb (with additional B - brown - modifiers to darker her eggs).
if dad was 50% ameraucana (pure) and not easter egger then dad's genotype is 100% Bb (Brahma = BB x ameraucana (bb)=all offspring Bb)

So. B b
x B BB Bb
b Bb bb

So 75% they carry the blue gene. However, looking at the combs, neither has a pea comb-and pea comb travels with blue so i don't think either are bb (only blue egg carrier). They both look like they do have some pea comb in there, so i would hedge my bets that they carry blue, but are not only carrying blue. So if they carry then 50% of their offspring will get the blue gene....if bred to a homozygous blue mom (bb) then all the kids will have the blue gene and half will be carriers of brown and thus that half would have green eggs and the other will lay blue.
If bred to a brown layer, then there will be a mix of green and brown eggs from the offspring and no blue eggs.

Pretty impressive for 5 year old!!!!! LOL. mine usually shoot a LOT of blanks by then LOL

OK so I have a couple of EE pullets one laying green and one blue (only just started) so perhaps a project in spring?
BTW was Punnett that did the egg experiments the square guy?

So how will you know if they carry the blue egg gene? You breed them to a blue egg layer? Or if you breed them to a normal egg layer what will happen. Just confused as to how to tell if they really carry the gene.

To be sure they need to be bred to a white layer and then some of the kids hatched off that white layer should lay blue. If you want to wait at least a year lol

Don't know about the egg colour possibility, but the second one is going to be very pretty, er I mean handsome and there will be more meat on the "mistakes"
