Well they will have a "heated" winter coop to take the edge off. My other girls and boy with feathers have no problem. Mind you the girls pluck Franks legs for him in the winter like Ameraucanas do to muffs so these should be a double whammy! They will also have their own separate pen so they don't have to deal with the grouchy biddies.

I look back at the baby pictures and I still can't tell, easy to tell when they are a little older.

For some reason, I have almost all my poultry with feathery feet. I never really thought about it before you mentioned it.

I too thought I should stick to clean legged breeds ... and I have only had one feather legged chicken - Gracie - up until this year, but now it seems all the new additions have all been feather footed.

Here they are at 3 1/2 weeks. They are huge!

They're going to be gorgeous birds, KB. The girls are already showing some really lovely salmon colouring!

Wow are they big! Lovely looking birds.

Had a friend visit yesterday. Polly really like her and got very relaxed!
