Just a word of warning on rooster numbers. Sometimes you are OK with 1 or 3 but not 2.
I have two pretty much all the time, doesn't seem to be a real problem. Course one was home raised while the other was the mature bird. Fought some when the second one reached puberty, but seemed to settle out after about a week. About 15 hens, about ten hang with the old guy, about 5 with the younger. Course they switch and swap and cause a fuss some moments, but all in all works pretty good.

Yep a lot depends on the docility of the breed or the breeding for that trait amongst others . I have 3 together here with lots a room to run & lots of hens to service . Also these were raised together from eggs & same broody hen .

Well maybe I’ll see how it goes when all 3 are together again in a few weeks. Only reason two are locked up is because I wanted some chicks ks off the young rooster
All Three have been together all winter with no major upsets
