The best way to solve frostbite is to have roosters/ hens with very small combs & wattles for Canadian temps or heat your coop to above freezing again with fresh air so no bronchial problems . Luck

My Bank Barn has 4, 1 ft. thick exposed concrete walls. After 2-3 days of sub-zero f weather it's like trying to raise chickens in an ice cube. Lots of ventilation and no draughts where the chickens were kept. I have better results and way less Frostbite in an old repurposed logging cabin covered with wooden shingles on the outside and shiplap on the inside.

oh yes I know... I just wish @Robbie would let us know how things are working out. shes pretty passionate about those buckeyes and I wish her the best.

Love my Buckeye hens....my mom is from Ohio so I felt obliged to have these hens, but now I think they're amazing. Looking to have a rooster or two if you have any that you want to sell
