On Thursday evening we had a crazy crazy storm. Our power went out around 7:30 pm until 1:30 am. My chicks are due Monday. I covered the incubator with towels, it's in the house which was warm, at 1:30 am the temperature was reading around 95 degrees so I think the chicks should be ok.... any thoughts?

The chicks will also be producing some heat of their own in the egg because of increased metabolism at this stage. I think you should be OK. Fingers crossed for you.

I agree... they should be fine. good luck on your hatch! how many again? 5 dozen? good thing ya got out of chickens eh!
having all those eggs in there is the ultimate heat sync, I dont think they would have even noticed the slight temp drop.

Yup it was 5 dozen! Down to four dozen plus one egg for the Welsummers but there is another two and a half dozen of my bantams as well, so I'm about to be dragged out of retirement from chickens I think.
