What color are we going to be? TIME to take stock!
Back in June.....breeding of Blue Columbian male over Columbian hens
What color are they going to be? And here is the answer... drum roll please
4 Columbian pullets and 4 Blue columbian pullets, I am absolutely thrilled with 3 Columbian cockerels and 4 Blue columbian cockerels, all showing some slight degree of silver around hackle and tail cover, some more the others, as Kathy correctly predicted,
but should be able to choose a future Columbian for next year breeding, on the right one of each :) and last, the one which shall remain nameless, since it doesn't even remotely resemble ANY recognized color :)

The Coronation Sussex are Lavender, so even the hackle is lavender/self-blue, the Blue Columbians have black hackle so bit more vivid in color which I like.WLLady wrote:QR_BBPOST They turned out amazing!!!
