Finally sold my last Extra cockerel & I feel like I can breath!!!!
I always start feeling the pressure this time of year, because I don't want to be stuck all winter babysitting a bird I don't plan on keeping.
I "almost" kept a blue Showgirl cockerel with a nice looking head poof, but I don't have a female & an extra pen to keep him.
He is now the king on a 12 acre farm in Coburg.

BUT ~~~~~~ my Blue showgirl hen has laid 6 perfect eggs.
My last hatch had the cutest little Blue STRIPPER chick "MAGIC"
I'm collecting eggs but I "REALLY, REALLY, REALLY" do NOT need any more chicks.
Hubby might have a damn Heart attack.....IF I told him what I'm thinking (*O*)

Guess I should be happy with having only my little MAGIC
Just don't know how Anyone an resist hatching when this is the result!!!!!

Remember what Andy says "Resistance is futile"! Only 6 doesn't seem like many either?????

Who the heck hatches chicks just so they can sell them before finding out which ones are Marvelous?

I had a heck of a time selling the last 5 cockerels....I'm afraid of getting stuck with extra cockerels over the winter!
PS - Sandy, that sounds like a plan "IF" I could part with Showgirl chicks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm in major LUV with them when they are cute...& not fighting.
