D'oh!!! Lol I didn't see page two, you are way ahead of me. I learned the hard way, one year my oldest Cochin bantam and her two Cochin/silkie mixed daughters hatched really late for me in December! I had close to 19 chicks and a lot of work to keep them healthy and warm, I did lose one or two but the worse thing about it was after all that, they were all males!!! Lol not one hen!

Yes stoping hatching is hard ,especially when it seems later in the year you hatch more pullets.
kenya you are pure EVIL - ha ha ha
Skinny rooster wrote:QR_BBPOST With friends like these, who needs enemies right? It's late in the season, by the time they are a month old it will almost be November, you will have a lot of extra chores trying to raise them safely through the winter, and you just know that out of seven eggs, you will probably get nineteen roosters and have to deal with that. Lol, hope this "really" helps. Get a fresh onion from your garden and fry them up! Hahaha.
Skinny rooster ~ 1st thought was "WOW" such compassion....but Fried up, ummm kind of a Yucky thought, it killed the moment hee hee hee

Sorry I didn't see page two and that you already had set them so yuck for sure! On a gross note, many of the Asian people I work with ask me to set eggs and sell the eggs after a couple of weeks so they can eat them. I usually just tell them no or more like, nooooooooo what the flip is wrong with you people!

I figured you were just yanking my chain.

Someone sent me pics of 1/2 formed chicks on a plate smothered in sauce.
It was ordered in a restaurant in China ~ ackkkkk!
Guess they finished it off with live monkey brains!!!
Thought I would Puke ~ SO GROSS

But to be fair, it's what you are used to.
My hubby is from Finland & I get grossed out sometimes.
While in the hospital having our son his aunt made me some Delicacies.
A tray of rye bread with slice of cheese, boiled egg & slice of RAW fish on top!!!!
Thought I would Puke ~ SO GROSS #2

Don't even want to tell you what us Italians eat - hee hee hee

I'd rather eat the "Prairie Oysters" than the previous 2 choices.
( yes I looked them all up first )

I still would wager that the "Finnish raw Pickled Herring" on a cracker tastes as bad ( good? ) as Century egg or Fermented Greenland shark.
Give me Prairie oysters instead anytime (*o*)

Caplin, small fish left whole and cured by salting and drying, or smoking until jerky. Eat them like they are, head, guts, bones and all :/ The smoked ones are somewhat edible, tastes somewhat like kippers but crunchy lol...the salted ones not so much. Canada definitely has it's share of gross food. I've never eaten half-formed chicken, but I'm no more averse to the idea (as long as it's cooked) than I am to salty fish p00p.
