Does anyone breed their flocks artificially? Is it hard to do? What equipment would a person need? My buff rooster is healthy but only dances around and doesn't breed anymore. Naturally he is probably the best quality bird I have so I want to try to get chicks. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you so much Fairsing Farm, I am going to try that today, doesn't look too complicated but I would imagine it takes practice. I have little droppers I bought for medication and will try one of those. Sorry I didn't notice the "sticky" at the top of this section with your posts. I was thinking they were posts by Al and not referring to A-I posts lol. That was some silkie rooster you had in the video, I noticed we couldn't see his face or comb, awesome!

Hey I changed the title of that thread to artificial insemination to avoid confusion, could also look like avian influenza...

Nope, no success. I try to do what you say in the video but nothing happens, maybe he's all dried out lol. The hens are broody again and this time I will let them hatch. I'm finished breeding for the season I think.
