Sold 2 doz ameraucana and aberdette eggs and they candled the eggs and 100% developing!! Wow... impressive. Seems a good year for the ladies and their stud muffins....

Well i just had 31 of 37 turkeys hatch successfully....first for me! Turning the temp down 1c works wonders. I may be placing a classified ad soon. Lol

Congrats Kathy! Clawton just hatched 6/8 of my bsw turkeys! Wooohoooo. Im really happy about that!

WLLady can you please elaborate? Did you turn down the temperature for the whole incubation?

I set them at 100F, like i do for chickens-now my incubator varies from 99.6-100F....so average is about 99.8....then at lockdown i add water to up the humidity to about 65% and then turn the incubator down to 99.0. It was recommended by a couple of people on here, and on the porter's turkey webpage. It worked like a charm! i went from 10% hatch rates to over 70% with just the 1C decrease for lockdown. :yippie:
