:) and here I thought you were showing an amazing amount of restraint ;)
I should mention that I really love the Blue Columbians and spent many an hour repeating to myself ; "Must not keep the Blue Columbians" over and over,
the fact that they are going to KB, just makes it so much easier to let go.
I consider myself pretty immune to addictions, but boy, it would be ever so easy to find yourself places you weren't planning to go at all with these birds.
It took 3 years of work, but well worth the wait :)

10 days I think, they were still inside right?
Just shows you there is such thing as love at first sight! ;)
As I seem to remember you were holding him in the palm of one hand, that's not going to happen again... :)

These are strikingly beautiful birds! I hope the "dark one" did not make the soup pot yet! Can't you give him a fancy color designation such as "barred Colombian" or "birchen" and send him to a "project" home?

He was also hen feathered which sealed his fate, 2 kg at 4 month is very respectable and will be appreciated on a completely different level ;)

Well that is a decent size for 4 months. I guess in his case "dual purpose". Means he can look good and taste good too!
