Epic failure!
Why is it always the pen that I am most excited about that goes haywire! Speaking of wire, yes lol I filled up my empty rabbit cages with angry Cochins giving me dirty looks. One came back to laying but she is white, the buffs are more stubborn about it.

BTW WWWolf, I had to cut way way down so lol don't encourage me to get more, because I want to and it's hard not to.
OC would you believe the complete opposite happened in the fall. I don't run lights in winter to let the girls rest. Last December I bought a Cochin standard rooster, the girls have been without a rooster for two years now, when I put him in the three old ladies started to lay and continued all winter. Ages two, three and four. Of course now that I want them to lay, one burned out, one went broody (twice) and at least the two year old is still laying.
