Looks like a decent example of Gold laced Wyandotte, they may be slow, but they are steady :)
I have seen a flock of them from PP, and they were a very respectable example of the breed

Very calm and easy to handle. If you wanted to do anything like trim claws it was sort of "Oh, OK".

Good to hear about the "Ameraucanas" In all honesty we just want a chicken that will actually lay colored eggs. We bought so called "Blue egg layers" from local owners on a few different occasions and always ended up with brown layers instead.

That gold laced Wyandotte is beautiful! Has anyone gotten any Bantams from PP?

Ooo, that's not good... Did you order any other breeds from them at the time? or just the D'uccles?

Here are a few pics of some of the birds we've gotten from Performance.
We've gotten: Silver Dorkings, Specked and Light Sussex, Welsummer, EE, Apenzeller Spitzhauben, Russian Orloff, Gold, Silver Pencilled and Blue (b/b/s) Hamburgs, Gold Laced Wyandotte.
All were heathy chicks but we often didn't get any of one or other sex to make up pairs for breeding.
Anyway, here are some of them.

Wow, These pictures just make me that much more excited! I The end of May can't get here soon enough.

I'm curious what peoples experiences with Performance Poultry were like? We've always had chick orders delivered to our nearest feed store so not entirely sure what to expect when we go to pick our chicks up.

I'm curious as well. I go the last weekend in May and I'm not sure what to expect. I've got quite the drive ahead of me too!

I have ordered from Jason every year. For pick up it is a bit hectic so make sure you are aware that you could be waiting an hour or maybe more to pick up chicks. There is usually quite a line up for pick up. It is a very busy day.

Our order is to be picked up on May 27th/28th! Luckily we are only a little over an hour away.
