I got some hatching eggs from @TomK and had a great hatch. You've seen the pics. Well they are going great guns. Lines are from @Brebis @WLLady and "some guy down the road"? They behave very strangely for chicks, almost like young turkeys. They are very friendly and cuddle on your lap. Very pleased with these little ones, hoping to make more.

Yes, they are very friendly and easy going I found. Loved having them around and they laid well too. Mine were originally from Performance Poultry.

Just hatched another 10...I am not getting the humidity up high enough at hatch time tho...3 of these fuzzy butts pipped out the side of the egg which got them air ok but they dried too fast and I had to rescue them before they got seriously stuck..all good tho and we will soon see if I helped cockerals..lol...not the idea of course :run:

true...but I have a bunch of meat chicks coming soon so more meat birds aren't high on my want list ...love the plummage of the boys, so vibrant but the understated colouration and markings of the girls is quite stunning...and they literally are spraying eggs at me these days....great layers
