Hi Everyone,
My nephew wants to hatch deathlayer chicks. I was wondering if anyone knows anyone that breeds them.
Also will they be suitable for free ranging chickens in Caledon, Ontario. I read this from https://www.communitychickens.com/breed ... athlayers/: "Deathlayers tend to be very active and a somewhat nervous breed. They enjoy space to roam and prefer roosting in trees to an indoor coop. They do not do well in confined spaces. They are less domesticated and therefore need more interaction at a young age to become socialized with humans." Does this mean that my nephew will have to somehow catch the chickens from the trees every night and put them in the coop one by one?
Thank-you!
