So I decided to change out my males. My blue male I put in with a white hen and a paint hen, my showgirl roos girls. Hes getting along great with them. My white showgirl rooster I put in with the blue roos three girls 2 blacks and a partridge hen, he decides to grab one of the black hens she takes exception and a fight ensues. Now the showgirl roo and the black hen fight so I had to separate them. Idiots!
We shall see if the showgirl has any luck at all if not I will swap him out for a paint showgirl. The white one is the better bird so maybe I'll have to try A1

At one time we electrified it. Now we don't, we love the fencing. We can move it anywhere around trees, in the bush. We have a lot of it and use it everywhere, for the chickens, for the dogs, for the neighbors dogs..lol.
It's from Premier One fencing, not cheap, but well worth the investment. We have the silkies fenced in....my standards are free range.

Did you get it at the TSC store? It sounds perfect for me.

I just got this email today. I have this fencing too although mine doesn’t have the small mesh on the bottom for chicks. It doesn’t work for my banties at all. They slip through or fly over even with wings clipped lol. Works great for the rest though. In summer we use it around the veggie garden.

Sadly, you can only get it from the US. It's free delivery in the US and I just go and pick it up. I have a US box. As to @Happy concerns, you can order different heights. We have 48 inches for the puppy pen and 42 inches for the silkies. It is $$$$$ just so you know. We also wanted it to blend into our forest, so ours is black and green. It does come in white and black.Good luck!

Lol height wouldn't matter for my game bantams. They fly up to the roof of my coop or to the top of the 6 foot wood fence to crow. But because they fly I don't worry as much about predators. Mine actually didn't come from premier. We bought it from a small local feed mill. It would have been cheaper to order it from the states though!

Heres a little one I'm quite happy about from my blue rooster. What I like about this one is its a powder blue colour, I don't know if it will show up in the picture. Hes given me very dark blue to very light blue plus some partridge and white chicks.

Well I've been going over my chicks from my blue male and am very happy, thrilled even, some beautiful babies. I'll be keeping him :yippie:
Funny thing I had him up for sale on kijiji as the little bugger nailed me 3 times drawing blood. I'd had it with him so put him up for sale had people saying they would come pick him up that day and not show, had one ,Would I hold him till the weekend which I did and they didn't show. Would I keep him for a couple weeks then never hear from them, someone coming to pick him up and another buyer knowing he was sold say, Please I'll pick him up within the hour, when the first didn't show up they were told he was available, Oh they wanted him and never show up.
I have never had this happen before and took him off kijiji thinking I guess I'm supposed to keep him. Now I'm glad I did!
I will just be very wary of the little bugger. Old breeders tell me the aggressive ones make the best breeders and our getting rid of them and keeping the gentle roosters leads to fertility problems. Which I do believe is true but I still get pretty mad when a chicken I look after takes a piece of me. :gaah:
