im not a leghorn breeder but I do enjoy the ones I that have. Of course I have the light brown hens I got from you, I even ended up with 1 or 2 decent cockerals. I also ended up with a bunch of rc black leghorns pullets out of the eggs I collected from those hens. I also have my original blacks and the weird black hen that turned white. I may end up setting up a couple breeding groups but I am completly undecided. I no longer have the buffs.

so one thing I've noticed with my leghorns and leghorn crosses is that they are my most adventurous birds. they see the fence as a step to the otherside... they are practically never in the run unless im in there feeding them. my old black rooster stands guard over the pullets. I just watched him get ready to fight my dog. but my dog had no interest... good rooster and good dog.

I have the exchequer leghorns and a pair of whites. Love my exchequer's the most, I often will put 2 roosters in together because of space restraints with no problems.

Kenya...awesome looking birds...i am trying to have a little variety in colouration in my flock and at the same time get some white egg layers, hence the brown leghorn interest...but my those birds are gorgeous....
