Hi All,
We have some 8 week old chanteclears and are starting to see some differences--size, redness around face and beak, etc. One difference that seems consistent is that the legs look different--what we think are roos have more orangey legs and the suspected hens have greenish legs. Anyone else see this or am I just hoping I can see differences among them?

This site may help you with Chantecler breed characteristics:
https://livestockconservancy.org/index. ... chantecler
I suspect that the birds you have are not pure chantecler, because their skin and legs should be yellow. I can't help with what to look for when it comes to sexing them, other than the size of wattle on a cockerel is usually larger than on a pullet, and likely starts to get redder sooner than a pullet.
