I got a few nice Speckled Sussex hens from Green River Chick a few years ago and have loved their look, temperament and hardiness. I picked up this young cockerel from GRC this past fall and am looking forward to seeing what he produces with his little flock of hens.

Who else has SS or are looking to get some? Anyone showing them?

If anyone is looking, I would definitely recommend getting ahold of GRC!

OMG he is awesome, he looks like he could take on all comers, although I understand they are a pretty laid back breed. :)

Look at the kankles on him lol! He's gorgeous and it's probably a good thing he does have a good temperament.

If he's a cockerel, how much will he weigh when full grown?
