Columbian Wyandottes

Post by Ontario Chick » Sat Jul 23, 2016 4:38 pm

Just came across this Illustration out of one of the old Standard of Perfection, "would give my eye teeth to own one of those"
in general terms I am not as far of the "old" standard as I am of the type shown now, perhaps I am going to think of my variety as the old fashioned type? ;)

Still my favorite, wish somebody around here was breeding/raising them, or any variety of LF Wyandottes.

That is very kind of you Jan, they must have something going for them, still blow me away after 10 years.
Wish I could assemble a larger flock and get others interested in raising the variety, probably not in the cards anymore.
Mactavish filling in nicely at 1 year, still prefers "his" girls, although he has accepted the "other " variety now too.
