So a few of my chicken have bald spots due to boredom. I thought we were doing better until I went out this morning and poor violet has tail feathers broken and some blood. Suggestions on how to treat it. I may make a temporary pen inside the larger one for her.

Ok finally got a hold of violet. She is definitely molting lots of pin feathers under her others. I took some pics. I'll see if I can post them. They turned out more red than she actually is. She is not happy in her new pen!

If you put something to whiten up the red like flour or Damascus earth on it she should be fine to put back amongst the rest, but if they continue, quarantine till better. Some people use blue Côte on it again it covers the red.

I have blue cote but I think I will keep her separate for weekend and see how she does. Thanks

Keeping her separate can make for reintegration issues. Depends on your flock dynamics, of course. I segregate as a last resort, but that's just me. I would try Blukote first.
