Help! Feather lice!

I picked up some birds last weekend (a no-contact pickup due to coronavirus - just grabbed the cardboard box in the driveway and scooted off), and one has a NASTY case of feather lice. I bathed her to clean up some soiled feathers, and the tub was full of dead bugs afterward. There's a ton of eggs crusted under her wings, so those will hatch soon and cause a new wave of problems :/

Where can I buy spray to treat these birds? I've ordered food-grade Diatomaceous Earth, but I'm not sure how much it will help since none of them are interested in dust bathing in the currently available sand (and the lice infestation is SEVERE).

If you know any stores willing to ship to Canada, or any stores near Guelph I can drive to, please let me know!

Ross say Bronco horse fly spray works well, you can get that at the TSC store. I use ivermectin but not sure if you can get it as easily. Diatomaceous earth I find useless.

Yes you ned to hit this hard. I'd try the Bronco. Poor girl. You should also tell the seller so they are aware and can treat their birds. Ivermectin pour on was still available but you have to buy a large amount.

Try a feed store or TSC. It's the pour on type. I would try the Bronco first though because it's such a severe infestation. @ross can likely give you details.
Also treat all your birds. Are the new birds in quarantine?

Just squeeze spray Bronco on bird underside of feathers rub in . Water based

@Killerbunny The only upside is that these are my first birds, so I don't have to worry about quarantine :) Unfortunately there's no TSC stores near me, so I've bought the Bronco spray online from a different source.

I've found some Ivermectin online, though it's quite pricey in bulk! It's the 'for cattle' stuff, right? I've also found "LIVING WORLD
Domestic Bird Bath", a spray that claims to treat bird lice & mites available at Pet Valu.

I agree DE is useless as a cure for infestations but I put on my birds twice a year & in the bath boxes 24/7 & feed once a month for worms No worms or lice ever . I use Bronco if bringing in new poultry or pigeons seeing lice or not & certaintly if infested . TSC Luck

Does anyone know if there is a recommended egg withdrawal for the bronco spray? I imagine it might not say if it’s for horses...
