Worming with piperazine

Good morning
I wormed my chickens yesterday with piperazine
A few hours later they were passing worms
Which is what it is supposed to do
BUT. As fast as the worms are being crapped out the others are eating the worms. It’s like a feeding frenzy!
This morning when I let them out they are running around chasing each other looking up each other’s butts to see if worms are coming out
I was talking to Shirley this morn and she wondered if anyone else’s chickens are this f ?????? up?
Lol
So am I? So...... has anyone else experienced this????

I agree gross, never seen it here but I'm sure if they had worms that bad that I could see them they'd be eating them. Chickens are so gross sometimes.

Worms were dead Coleen ?
It's what scavengers do & chickens are scavengers that's why you see so many in third world countries . Dog

Human

All animal

plus rotten meat , worms , maggots , stuck eggs in hens etc . I've seen um eat .Just like Buzzards . Sounds like your infestation is really bad & abundant so your seeing it . If you wormed um & gone away to come back in 4/5 hrs you might not of noticed they'd be all gone . Luck

Well came home from work today. Ate lunch- no spaghetti or angel hair pasta though

Have spent quite a bit of time with chickens and have not seen any more worms expelled or chickens after each other’s butts. All worms must have gotten expelled overnight and eaten or no more were expelled
So in10 days I will retreat.
We will see if I might have another story for you. Lol

Recycling at its most efficient
No, I haven't seen that before. I've been fortunate that I've never seen them expel worms at ALL, and I'm ok with that lol

I don't know for sure if piperazine actually "kills" the worms or not???????
The only info I could find on it said it "paralyzes " the worm and thus releasing its hold inside the intestine
If I knew for sure the worms were dead I'd feel much better about it!
