Unexplained.Unexplainable Death
Well this is just...heartbreaking. Dreamy aka Dreamsicle, my personal favorite baby Serama passed away this morning.
She was perfectly fine, chirping and eating with the rest of the crew. I went in the house for a while, and went to go check on them (they are in a tractor set up right now) and there she was, lying dead...her eyes still glistening, because she just passed probably minutes ago.
I am just in shock as I haven't had a sudden death like this, I have heard of chickens just dropping dead but this...is just so sad...I am not sure what is going on with this flock it seems cursed.
I am praying that this is the last of the shocks with these guys, my heart cant take any more of these sad events.

I am sorry to hear.
Chickens-well-any kind of livestock-isreally like this. Chickens are worse because they are prey animals and will hide any illness as long as they possibly can. Sometimes we never know what gets them.

Thank you for all the kind words =group hug=
I spent extra time with Dreamy by laying in bed and letting her sleep and cuddle in my hand before putting her with her buddies at night, now I will have to show love to the other two...maybe I shouldnt favorite one bird like I did...makes it more heart wrenching...
Dang Serama are so small, they are so easy to spoil LOL!
